We at cofacerating.com make it possible for you to check the identity of 41 million companies and to consult the @rating of a sample of companies. You also have the opportunity of requesting and then monitoring your own @rating quality Label.

We offer our services to companies, but, within this framework, we may be required to request information of a personal nature.

We are a Coface Group company and a certain number of self-regulatory rules have been established concerning the collection, utilisation and distribution of data.

This document outlines the data protection rules in place on the cofacerating.com web site.

1. What personal information is collected by cofacerating.com?

You wish to obtain general information on the @rating solution, check the identity of a company or consult the @rating of a company on our site free of charge:
In this case you can visit our site anonymously. You will not be asked to supply any information unless you wish to obtain specific information on the @rating solution, in which case we will request the name of your company, its address, your name, telephone and fax numbers in order to contact you and answer your questions.

You wish to obtain the @rating quality Label:
you will need to supply the name of your company, its address (including city and post code), country, your name, telephone number and e-mail address, so that we can allocate your company a reference number.

You will then need to complete a questionnaire composed of three sections.

In the first section, you must supply general information relating to your company, information considered as being in the public domain. In particular, you must communicate information concerning the type of company, its activity and the name of its directors and shareholders.

In the second section, you must provide financial information about your company, as well as the names of five major clients and suppliers.

In addition, you are required to give the name, telephone number, e-mail address and job title of the person completing the questionnaire, as well as the person that we should contact to obtain further financial information.

The information that you provide in this second section is protected by a confidentiality agreement, which is included in your @rating contract. In this, we undertake not to disclose the information to third parties other than our subsidiaries and branches, which will require it to establish and monitor your @rating.

In the third section of the questionnaire, you may, if you wish, provide additional financial information in order to make our credit assessment as accurate as possible. This information is also protected by our confidentiality agreement.

2. How do we use this information and to whom do we communicate it?

We use the information that you provide to deliver a faster service, to improve our site and to enable us to establish reliable and accurate @rating scores.

When you request an @rating quality Label, our local Phone Service Centre is at your disposal to assist you in completing the questionnaire.

We use the information contained in your questionnaire solely to establish and to monitor your @rating. It is only disclosed to our subsidiaries or branches which specifically require it for @rating purposes. All subsidiaries and branches have signed a confidentiality agreement, so that the information you have supplied is never made available to third parties.

Please note that if you refuse your @rating or if your @rating contract is terminated, we undertake to destroy all information that you have communicated to us in the framework of this contract.
